"We support the Renters’ Reform Coalition because everyone deserves a safe, secure, and stable place to call home. At Salford Loaves and Fishes, we work alongside people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and severe hardship, many of whom are affected by insecure and unaffordable housing. Too often, people are forced into crisis because of rising rents, poor housing conditions, and the constant threat of eviction. For those already facing financial difficulties, the loss of a tenancy can have devastating consequences, increasing the risk of homelessness, debt, poor mental health, and social isolation. We regularly see the impact that unstable housing has on individuals and families who are struggling to rebuild their lives. We believe renters deserve greater security, safer homes, and a housing system that provides dignity and stability. That is why we support reforms that strengthen tenants’ rights, improve housing standards, and stop unaffordable rents. Everyone should have the security of knowing they can remain in their home and plan for their future without fear of losing it unfairly."
