At Marks Out Of Tenancy, we believe renters aren't given access to all the information they need. So we set about changing that. Renters use Marks Out Of Tenancy to rate and review their landlords, letting agents, rental properties and neighbourhoods to bridge the information gap between one renter and the next. In reading previous renters experiences, future renters can make better informed decisions.
Working together with our Renters' Reform Coalition partners enables us to improve conditions in the private rental sector, to ensure the voices of all renters are heard".

“Solace works with over 23,500 survivors of male violence in London every year. Domestic abuse is one of the biggest causes of homelessness in the UK and the lack of safe, suitable and affordable accommodation is a barrier to women and children fleeing from and recovering from abuse. Around 20% of the survivors we work with are privately renting and they are twice as likely to be precariously housed as a result of fleeing abuse. It is therefore vital that the private rented sector is reformed to provide the safety and security they need.”

Older private renters are also more likely to live in houses with damp and in houses in need of repair.
Independent Age has called on the government to keep its promise to introduce the Renters Reform Bill in this parliament. This Bill must include commitments to scrap Section 21 'no fault' evictions and to introduce secure and standardised 'lifelong deposits'”
